Payment options

My fees will depend on the nature of the project and the scope of work that you need. I strive to give you cost-effective services, and it is important that we discuss and agree on payment terms and fees at the outset.

For editing, I charge by the hour. In general, I edit 600–1000 words per hour for substantive editing, but this may vary with the particulars of your project. Please ask if you would like an estimate before I begin your project.

For writing, I charge either a project fee or by the hour; in either case, the terms of payment must be arranged before I start work.

The more detail you can give me about your project up front, the better I can estimate how much the job will cost. Please let me know if you have a budget! I can adjust the scope of my work to stay within your budget if needed.

Invoices will be sent at the completion of short projects or at predetermined points for larger projects. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.

Payment can be made by check (in US dollars), wire transfer, or PayPal (bank transfer or credit card).
